I took a direct deposit cash advance from Wells Fargo on my checking account. What will happen if I default?
Wells Fargo has a feature online where you can take an advance on a recurring direct deposit on your checking account. My direct deposits end next week with me owing 400 bucks. What will happen now? I can’t pay a cent.

if a direct deposit does not come in to pay off the advance within 35 days it will be automatically debited from your account. Even if it makes your account go negative. And they will not let you close the account with an outstanding advance, so don’t even bother trying.
If you don’t pay they will likely send it to collections, who will call you and send you a letter as well. If you can’t pay this will go on your credit report, and will make it hard for you to get future loans, buy a car, get a credit card, mortgage, etc..
You are better off calling Wells Fargo and letting them know that you can’t pay the $400 now but perhaps they can work out a monthly payment plan with you so that you can pay this off.
